There was no guiding star
For four premies
on tubes, in incubators
There was no room
In the inn
For prenatal care
No room was there
In the inn
For mothers
Still bleeding
No donkeys
To carry them
To Bethlehem
Medics, doctors,
Who fled
Exploding outside
And inside
Tubes carrying
Clean air
Still attached
Running out
Of breath
Stretched tiny
Incubated fingers
Wanting touch
Of mothers
Voices of fathers
Fleeing fire
Still bleeding
No guiding stars
Amid falling flames
Bursts of blaze
Air on fire
There was no room
No inn
No one waiting
Jesus under rubble
In Bethlehem
Their cries
Stuck in tubes
Four premies
No time for saviors
